Telpyn Point
Dad and I had a really enjoyable hour (and a bit) sea watching on Telpyn Point. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't brilliant but there was still plenty of birdlife out at sea. A quick scan revealed firstly a raft of 4 Red-throated Divers fairly close in. A few auks were flying west during then time, 7 Guillemot and at least 1 Razorbill. Scoters are back, the main raft being more towards Marros today. However there was still a few smaller rafts off Telpyn, maybe 100+ in all. Spent some time picking through these flocks to see if anything was in there, maybe a Surf Scoter... no luck on that but did find a Great Crested Grebe and a extra 10 Red-throated Divers over the sea, including 3 birds flying past.
